Fingerhut, one of the more sophisticated marketers, provided the foundation of my direct marketing principles. Their ability to not only target their consumers more effectively but to couple that with offering credit and managing risk is invaluable in today's market. Fingerhut grew from roughly $300 million to nearly $2 billion in revenues during my tenure. Throughout my career at Fingerhut, I had P&L responsibility for catalogs as well as inbound and outbound telemarketing programs.
Chadwick's of Boston is one of the leaders in womens apparel retailing. My experience was further developed through the challenge of redirecting the companies contact and acquisition strategy to better reflect true acquisition costs and lifetime value of the customer.
Golfsmith International grew from a very successful B2B golf equipment direct marketer to the leader in multichannel B2B and B2C retailer of golf equipment and accessories. The ability to understand multichannel integration of retail, on-line, and traditional direct marketing is experience that can assist many businesses today.
USAA, a fortune 200 financial services provider, has rounded out my career by providing me the experience of developing successful integrated marketing plan for a full product suite including banking, investments, and insurance; both property and life. During my tenure I was responsible for the analytics, research, and competitive intelligence for all of the companies products.
